FAQ

What To Expect

Floating is unique to the individual. First get comfortable and allow yourself to relax. You can have the gentle chakra lights cycle through for the whole float or settle in without them. You may also listen to the soft meditative music all the way through or you may prefer to relax in silence. The choice is all yours. We want you to enjoy this experience and will help you customise your float for your enjoyment. After a short time you will begin to drift away to blissful rest and relaxation.

I’m claustrophobic

People with extreme claustrophobia have reported having no problems with their time in the pod. The lid can be kept open if you choose and you can get out at any time. There is also an emergency button inside the pod if you need assistance

 What do I wear?

We recommend you wear your birthday suit, although you may choose to wear bathers if you prefer.

Do I need to bring anything?

You don’t need to bring anything. We provide towels, amenities and ear plugs.

 What if I’m pregnant?

Floating is fantastic for pregnant ladies. The gravity free environment relieves the pressure on your body due to having baby on board. We do ask that you consult your doctor if you have specific health concerns or in your third trimester.

 Can I float if menstruating?

Yes. Please take precautions with sanitary products to avoid leakage during the float.

Can I float if I’ve just dyed my hair?

We can’t guarantee that colour will not be stripped from hair so it is best to ensure that the water runs clear in your shower before floating.

 Can anyone float?

There are some reasons where it is recommended to seek advice from your doctor before floating.

 What if I fall asleep?

The water is very buoyant with the high content of Epsom salts. You cannot sink and you won’t drown if you fall asleep. So enjoy and if you do fall asleep you will wake up feeling refreshed and fantastic. You will float out with a glow!

 What if I need help?

There is an emergency button inside the tank if you need assistance.

Is there anything I should do before I float?

  • Avoid caffeine before your float as it is a stimulant and may affect your ability to relax
  • It is best not to apply spray tan before a float
  • Do not shave or wax before floating in case your skin become irritated
  • Have a light meal prior to avoid your tummy grumbling

 How clean is the water?

The Epsom salts in the water act as a natural disinfectant preventing any harmful bacteria from building up. After each session the water is thoroughly filtered. The water is also tested regularly by staff and by the health department.

You can rest assured knowing that you will have a safe and sanitary float session every time.
